What are the camping season dates?
The camp season runs from mid May through early to September 30th. The water park will typically open mid-June and close up mid September, weather depending.
Can I book for 2025 now?
YES! We are currently running a special where you can reserve your site now with your $1000 deposit, and even move your RV onto the site for the winter to save you RV Storage charges.. In April you simply pay your balance for the seasonal rental and you are set for an amazing camping summer 2025!
Can I leave my RV on my site year round, and what is the cost of that?
Your rent covers your camping season site rental for May to September 30th. Upon renewing your site rental, you are then allowed to store your RV on your site throughout winter at no charge.
Is the convenience store and ice cream open to the public?
Yes it is open for the season, mid May to September 30th. You can go to the Store Page by clicking HERE for more information.
What else can I put on my site besides one RV and my vehicle?
You can build a deck, a storage shed, a gazebo, a fence, trees & shrubs.
Do you allow pets?
Yes we do. Responsible pet owners are welcome. We allow 2 pets per site.
Can I come and check out the resort right away?
Yes during the camping season from mid May through September 30th. Give us a call at 403-800-8181 so we know who you are as this is a private campground. Just come on into the store and we will get you set up to have a look around. Contact us HERE.
Where is Bar W RV Resort located?
BarW RV Resort is located near Stettler, Alberta on the South Shore of Buffalo Lake. Our address is 241 Bay View Street, Rochon Sands, Alberta. GPS that address to verify time of drive from your home. It is approximately 1Hr,45Mins drive South of Edmonton, 2Hrs,15Mins drive Northeast of Calgary and 40Mins drive East of Red Deer.
Is Bar W RV Resort new?
Yes we opened spring of 2024.
Do you allow golf carts at Bar W?
Our rules allow for gas powered golf carts. We allow gas golf carts only.
